Chapter 7 Summary

When he meets Lamarr, she asks where his bag is and he says he doesn't have one. She asks the best way to drive from New York to Virginia, but Reacher says to fly. They set out for Virginia.

Reacher says he's sorry about Lamarr's sister. She says it's her stepsister and she is only concerned about her on a professional level. Reacher insists Lamarr's profile is wrong, but Lamarr tells him about other cases where her profiling helped the local police to catch the killer.

Lamarr also gives Reacher the details on the three former Army women that were murdered. She says there is no forced entry and that they are all found in their homes, naked in the bathtub.
