Summary

Jack stopped at an abandoned motel so he and his family could get some sleep. Dee woke him up when the building began trembling. They watched as a convoy of vehicles filled with armed men passed the motel. That night, Jack stood in the roadway, looking both directions with his binoculars looking for more vehicles. When Na walked up behind him he realized that he had lost touch with both her and her mother. He asked her what she was thinking, if she was worried about her friends. He acknowledged how good she had been with Cole. He hugged her, hard, for the first time in years.
