Summary

In Chapter 35, Yvonne helps Simon get the cash he needs for the bribe to Rocco, and urges him to be careful. Cornelius says Rocco has agreed to meet later in the day, and Simon goes to the hospital where there is no real change in Ingrid's condition. Yvonne reveals that Paige had confided in her about the assault, but that Paige demanded secrecy. Simon is angry, but Yvonne points out that Paige had at least come to someone, and that it was her duty to keep the secret, just as she would expect Simon to observe their wishes if one of her children came to him. Yvonne then reveals that she had talked to Ingrid about it. Cornelius arrives, reminding Simon that they need to meet Rocco.
