Chapter 33-34 Summary

The police think that Lucas has gone to bed for the night. The police on the surveillance detail are hungry and order a pizza, which Lucas does out to pick up. When Lucas returns, the police notice that there is no night light on in Vullion's home. This bothers Lucas because Vullion has had the night light on every night. It is then that Lucas remembers the attic. Lucas calls Vullion's home and there is no answer. The team runs over to his house and breaks in. Louis isn't there and there is an opening in the attic partitions. While the others are alerting the Chief, Lucas notices the light on the VCR. It contains a tape of his interview with Carla.

Lucas drives to the warehouse where Carla lives. He tells the doorman to wait for the police and breaks...
