Chapter 26-28 Summary
Lucas and his colleague, Sloan, visit Nester again. He claims he paid the asking price to the Rices. Lucas says they won't press felony fraud charges if he gives them the information they want: he can deal with Mary Rice's attorney. Nester tells them how he purchased the netsukes and that he doesn't know anything about the gun. He didn't spend much time there because Rice was waiting for his attorney to pick up his will. The call Mary Rice and ask her to look at the last page for the lawyer's name. It is Louis Vullion.
