Chapter 17-19 Summary
At the detectives' group meeting, they conclude that they are coming up with nothing. There is no way to track the killer through drivers' licenses and they are receiving some information through the post offices. They are checking the names that they have. Lucas talk about the phone calls and how they followed McGowan's broadcasts and how she fits his type. Daniel orders a watch to be placed on her and Lucas says that she might be their chance to catch the serial killer. He doesn't tell the Chief that he has been feeding her misinformation.
McGowan is informed of the surveillance and is happy. Her television station will be taping some of it. The publicity will help her career. Lucas visits the surveillance team and is shown their set-up. He will try to be there every evening.
