Chapters5-6 Summary
Lucas reads the newspaper reports about the press conference. There is no mention of Carla Ruiz. He attends a meeting in the Chief's office, where it is announced that the assistant to Lyle Wullfolk, who heads homicide, will be the one to report all information to. The man's name is Harmon Anderson. They talk about the press and the investigation regarding who took the gun from the evidence room. Lucas says he wants to talk to the thirty four people they know had access to the room. They have data on the three murdered victims and Carla Ruiz, but not much more. The only thing they have in common is that they are all women. They also note that the time interval between killings is becoming shorter and there have been no weekend attacks. Everyone at the meeting receives a notebook...
