White Cathedral

The White Cathedral is an underground city that exists beneath the capital, Os Alta. Alina is kept inside the White Cathedral by the Apparat. She and her friends escape from the White Cathedral and head out through a labyrinthine series of tunnels that run beneath the city of Os Alta and lead to the city of Ryevost.

The Spinning Wheel

The Spinning wheel is Nikolai's name for the abandoned monastery at the top of a mountain where he makes his base. It used to be the Monastery of Sankt Demyan, but Nikolai revamped it so that he and his army could work on preparing to meet the Darkling in battle.
