Summary

In Chapter Seven, Alina went with Mal to see Genya, who was crying. The King’s guards were attempting to take her with them to see the King, but Alina’s friends were blocking their path. Alina had known the King would want to execute Genya, so she had warned everyone to keep quiet about Genya’s true identity, trusting that her scars would make her unrecognizable to the King. However, Sergei let her name slip. Alina promised Genya that she would not let the King hurt her. They all went to see the King and he demanded that Genya be executed.
