Summary
In Chapter 4, as Vivian and Malcolm walked to the stables, she asked Malcolm his opinion of royalty. She explained that people getting to rule the country simply because of their brith went against everything she knew. Because he had grown up in England, royalty and bowing to other people was common. He only considered it was unusual when someone else pointed out how odd it was. Malcolm explained he was conservative and liked stability, tradition, and security, which he believed the monarchy represented. However, he said it did feel strange for him to have to bow to another person, Vivian agreed that it must be strange.
