Chpaters 19 - Epilogue Summary

In Chapter 19, Colin persuaded the mothers to push up the wedding date. Things were gong well, but Penelope wanted to resolve the issue of Lady Whistledown. He told her to leave him alone because she didn't want to see him let out what he truly felt about it. She said she did want him to let it out. Colin said that every day he thought about what would happen if the truth came out because he wanted to protect her. He loved her.

She wondered if there was more to it than that. Penelope wondered if perhaps he was ashamed of her. This surprised him, and he realized that he was more jealous than ashamed. He avoided answering her.
