Chapters 7-12 Summary
In Chapter 7, Penelope was wondering how she ended up at the Smith-Smyth musicale. It was a horrible event because the girls had no musical talent, and it was painful to watch. Still, she always ended out there somehow. Not only that, but she always ended up in the front row. Eloise and Felicity joined her, and Lady Danbury interjected herself into their conversation when they began to talk about Lady Whistledown. The girls were wondering why the gossip columnist never picked on the Smith-Smyth girls. Lady Danbury said it was because the writer had a gentle heart.
