Chapter 7, Cape Coalwood- Chapter 8, Construction of the Cape Summary and Analysis

In chapter seven, Quentin takes off, escaping from Coalwood, as Homer Sr. isn't interested in him. Homer Sr. orders Sonny to walk home then forces Sonny to watch as he pours his son's chemicals into the creek. Homer Sr. tells Sonny this is the end of it, any other hobby but no more rockets. Homer Sr. figures it Mr. Bykovski helped him and reassigns him to a position inside the mine. Bykovski gives Sonny four new Auks. Sonny is excited and recognizes that the BCMA is now an "outlaw organization," (p. 97) which makes him feel good.
