Summary
Becca contemplates the differences between her two different lives - the one she leads on the New Jersey side of the river and the one she lived in Portland. She cannot help but think about all of the animals who are being cared for at the clinic as well as Matt's cat Lucky. Becca remembers what it is like to just be still within nature, which she does not get to experience on the New Jersey side. She eventually leaves Parker's dock and returns home, where she finds Toby on his way out from visiting Clint. He warns her to be careful before departing.
She takes Romy for a walk through the woods. When they come upon John's barn, Romy seemingly picks up on something and snarls. Becca assures Romy that there is nothing to worry about, and they continue their walk, which...
