Noon Sun
Noon Sun is a town near York and Applethorne, located along the Yorkshire Moors. It is a traditional, friendly little community full of character and good people, but with little change. Many residents in town get lulled into complacency by the staid nature of the town and its surrounding areas. Life is comfortable in Noon Sun, so it is easy to forget there is a world beyond its borders. Benedict is among those people, as he has been born and raised in Noon Sun. It is where the majority of the novel occurs, where Gemma comes to stay with Benedict, and where Benedict keeps the family shop, Stone Jewelry. It is also the place from which Charlie could not wait to leave.
