Summary

During the annual sexual harassment training, Cassie’s mind wanders, and she stares at the platter of tropical fruit rotting in the sun. Her next meeting is top secret. The CEO gathers a small counsel to discuss their competition, Nomad, and theorize plans to eliminate them. When Corbett suggests they plant drugs at the other company, the CEO dismisses him from the meeting. Later, at lunch, Sasha suggests that they each share their most traumatic experience with each other to bond. Cassie and the others are uncomfortable but jovially describe painful experiences from their pasts to appease their boss. Sasha tells Cassie that she fired the PR team for annoying her and needs Cassie to “do the work until [she] hire[s] someone” (59).
