Summary
Kev remembers playing with Ella in the summertime when they were both children, and Ella creating a ball of light in the palm of her hand. She turned the ball of light into a snowball and he could tell by the way she looked at him that she was going to throw it at him.
As a teenager, Kev comes home to his apartment building and runs into two older boys smoking marijuana in the stairwell. He is nervous about passing them, but they exchange comments about the weather. Kev hears a loud sound coming from his apartment and enters. The apartment is in shambles, a window is broken, and Ella is using her powers to strangle their mother with a blanket. Kev has visions of his mother being disrespected by people at her hospital job. Suddenly, the visions stop. Ella stands still...
