Bracelet

The bracelet that Charlotte gives to Hayward symbolizes their bond of friendship. The bracelet is made from a piece of rein that Charlotte was holding when she was found after the accident that killed her parents. She has had it since she was a baby, so it is obviously important to her. She cuts the bracelet in half lengthwise and gives Hayward half of it while she continues to wear the other half. When they meet again as adults, both are still wearing their bracelets.
