Summary

Word of how Charlotte had saved her passengers spread. She became a celebrity. People tossed coins into the street to see if she could hit them with the stage wheels. Men gathered to watch her go by. Children gathered the coins and brought them to her.

Charlotted moved to a new route from San Juan Bautista to Santa Cruz. The country there was beautiful. The only bad thing was that the way stations were in bad shape.
