Summary

In Chapter 1, Scheherazade was settling in to eat warmed up pizza and watch television when she heard loud music coming from outside her window. She went to the window to find Carlton there blasting music and standing on top of a Range Rover. Scheherazade was both amused and dismayed when her guards tackled Carlton. She managed to get them off Carlton and brought him to her apartment to tend to his wounds.

Meanwhile, Charlie was searching for Astrid. He had not seen or heard from her in five weeks. He believed it was his fault for allowing her to see Isabel in the hospital. He could see how upset Astrid was by what had happened to Isabel. To make matters worse, Isabel’s family was blaming Astrid for what had happened.
