Part 2, Purgatory: Chapters 70-85 Summary
Andi wanders around Paris and sees a tumbrel, a wagon designed to carry prisoners to the guillotine.
Andi arrives at the Palais-Royal tired and disgusted. A man gives her a piece of bread and suggests she play her guitar for money. Andi does, but a blind boy steals her money and a couple of men attempt to sexually assault her. Then a man named Fauvel gives her a bundle of fireworks and warns her to be more careful in the future.
Andi buys food and takes it to Amade's, begging for a place to stay. Amade reluctantly agrees when she gives him her iPod. Andi plays a Beethoven pieces for him before going to sleep.
Andi uses Virgil's map to move around the catacombs, hoping to find a way back to her own time if she returns...
