Part 1, Hell: Chapters 31-37 Summary
Andi returns home and finds Lili waiting. Together they watch a French talk show on which both Andi's father and G are set to appear to talk about the DNA testing of the suspected Louis-Charles' heart. As G explains on the program the travels of the heart over the years, Andi begins to wonder if perhaps the heart could belong to some other unfortunate child. Andi also learns from the program that several men came forward years after the Revolutionary War to claim to be Louis-Charles, but the most credible was proven by DNA not to be the lost king.
Alex writes in a new entry of the diary that she was nearly caught by a guard early in May of 1795 running from where she had just lit fireworks for Louis-Charles. The guard tried to detain her...
