Part 1, Hell: Chapters 16-22 Summary
Andi strikes a deal with her father that if she finishes her outline to his satisfaction by Sunday, he will allow her to return to New York on her own.
Andi spends the morning reading about Malherbeau. While taking a break, Andi tries to fix a broken latch on the guitar case for the Revolutionary era guitar. In desperation Andi uses Truman's key on the lock and it surprisingly turns. The key unlocks a secret compartment in the bottom of the case.
There is a diary in the case. The first entry in the diary suggests that the diary will tell a story that needs to be told about a prisoner in a tower being held by Robespierre.
In the diary Andi finds a newspaper clipping with an odd date that talks about a Green Man who...
