Part 1, Hell: Chapters 10-15 Summary
Andi and her father arrive at the Paris airport after some difficulties at security. Andi resents her father admitting her mother to the psychiatric hospital, causing some tension between them.
Andi and her father take a taxi to the home of her father's friend, G, and his wife, Lili. Their home is a deserted factory that G hopes to turn into a museum for the French Revolution in the future. The building is stuffed full of relics from the Revolution. As she waits for dinner to be ready, Andi looks at the items in the living area and discovers an old guitar. When Andi touches the strings, several break. Andi apologizes, but G tells her he would like her to play it. Andi spends an hour replacing the strings and cleaning up the guitar.
