Chapters 41 and 42 Summary

Chapter 41. Kingsley tells Mimi he saved her from the smoke and that he was put into a spell as well. Mimi doesn't believe him. Suddenly, Forsyth Llewellyn appears out of the smoke carrying his wife's body. Mimi tells Forsyth that Nan was one of the Silver Bloods. They leave the house and watch as it burns up the bodies of their fellow Blue Bloods. This attack indicates the start of the Second Great War.

Chapter 42. Schuyler hears Allegra Van Alen waking her from sleep and sees her handing her a sword. When Schuyler comes to, she hears Oliver's scream, but Allegra is gone. Bliss sees Lawrence in a sword fight with Lucifer. Schuyler charges at Lucifer with her mother's sword but misses. Lawrence regains his sword and stabs Lucifer. Then the ground rumbles and a demonic voice and laugh seems to...
