Summary

Tyler realizes that Mr. Cruz has been sad ever since his wife returned home. Mari is not old enough to hear all of the stories of her mother’s captivity, but Mrs. Cruz has told her husband. After hearing the stories, he is quite angry. The families get together on Mother’s Day, and Grandma announces that she is going to Mexico with her church group. Mr. Rossetti insists on going with, and she says that he will have to join the church group to do so. Everyone learns that the next day is Mari’s birthday.

Tyler finds a website where he can name a star after Mari. He realizes that Mari is really the only person he can talk to openly about stuff. When he gives Mari the certificate with the star name, she is pleasantly shocked...
