Summary
Tyler is not expecting a good Christmas. Every year his family had a Christmas tree farm, but this year the family is too afraid to have many people come because of the Mexican people living there, so they close it down. Grandma gets the Cruz girls a tree. Connie has found a lawyer who will help Felipe for free. Felipe’s family cannot go visit the jail because of their immigration status, but Connie and the lawyer, Caleb Calhoun, will go, and Ms. Ramirez will go along to translate. The girls tell Grandma about Posadas in Mexico, a week-long festival where children go house to house like Mary and Joseph did before Jesus was born, and everyone turns them away until at the final house on Christmas Eve, there is a party.
