Chapter Nine, Part 4 Summary

Sara waits with terror when she hears the food cart approaching because she is now fed through a painful hose and the straps to restrain her cut into her wrists. It has become an effort just to lift her head and when she has to use the bathroom no one comes and she is forced to relieve herself in her chair. The nurse thinks that Sara wants special treatment and leaves her there for two days.

Marion goes to see Big Tim again without telling Harry. When Harry sees her come in he knows where she has been and says nothing. Again she keeps two bags for herself and gives Harry eight.
