Chapter Nine, Part 1 Summary
Marion and Harry argue one morning over drugs. They used too much of their stash the night before and Marion has already blown her first vein from overusing. She becomes hysterical regularly over the need for heroin, now immune to the high of the pills she still gets from her doctors. She blames Harry for everything and arguing is now a norm for them.
Harry and Tyrone are back to hustling one high to the next. Without even noticing they have started lying and withholding money from one another 'just in case.' They wait in the freezing cold for Tyrone's connection and one guy tells them about a dealer who is willing to give heroin in exchange for sex.
When Harry gets back home Marion is in the bathroom, her frustration from trying to find a vein turns...
