Chapter 5 Summary

Harry and Tyrone's connection, Brody, is found killed, most likely for his drugs. Harry and Tyrone split up to see what they can find on the streets. It is while out on the streets and right after buying a few bundles of heroin that Tyrone gets arrested. The cops rob him for his money and drugs and throw him in a cell with a bunch of drug addicts and drunks. Tyrone along with everyone else in the cell listen intently as an old addict tells his stories of drugs, women and money. "I'll tell ya kid, if ya wanna make it out there an feed ya habit, ya stay away from the broads an ya don't go for nothin' too big." Tyrone convinces himself that he isn't like the old junkie and the others in the cell. Finally Harry shows up to bail...
