Chapter Three, Part 38 Summary
Tyrone listens to Harry talk about Sara and reminisces about his own mother who died when he was eight years old. He was one of seven kids and he remembers her singing all of the time and compares the feeling to being high. His father left them so Tyrone ended up with an aunt who he says was nice but nothing compares to the memory of his mother. The thoughts combined with heroin warm him up before he heads out to work the streets.
Tyrone has a new apartment and a new girlfriend, Alice and is enjoying both one night. Tyrone was sold on the apartment once he saw the large mirrored closet doors and his love for silk shirts make him enjoy the space even more. It is a great feeling for him: "Yes, sir, mah names Tyrone...
