Point of View
The entire story is told from a third person narrative point of view. The narrator describes the setting and tells the reader how the main character during that chapter may feel and what he/she says, but the characters’ thoughts are not given unless the narrator explains them. The reader can get a description of what is happening and hear what is being said, but only selective thoughts are expressed.
Language and Meaning
The author gives detailed descriptions/imagery of the setting and the emotions that each character goes through.
Besides imagery, similes and metaphors are the most used figurative language devices to express to the reader how something looks or feels and how the people look and feel.
