Summary
Chapter 7
Word of Justin’s return sparks joyous celebrations all over town. He is not ready to be seen in public. The family tiptoes around Justin’s actions and feelings once home. His sleep is inverted. He sleeps all day and is awake at night. At first, his parents check on him to see if he is okay. Gradually, they are comforted as they fall asleep by the noises they hear him making as he makes sandwiches, watches TV, etc. They are overjoyed when they see old habits like leaving a messy bed, holding burping contests in Griff’s room, and cutting pancakes with a fork instead of a knife.
