Summary
Chapter 1 opens in London, England. The name of the protagonist/narrator is never stated. He is a 30-year-old man. Recently, he was harmed in an accident, although he cannot remember the accident itself. He was in a coma, but he eventually recovered. He had amnesia from the accident, but eventually, his memories returned to him, except for the memory of the accident itself.
