Summary
Chapter three begins the morning after Micah's dinner with Cass and Brink. Micah awakes and begins his usual routine and leaves on his run. When Micah returns he notices that Brink is still asleep. Micah also notices that Brink took the liberty of using Micah's phone charger. While Micah is preparing breakfast, Brink's phone is receiving text messages, which Micah observes to be sent from his mother, who is expressing worry for her son's whereabouts and safety.
After he finishes his breakfast, Micah goes to assist Yolanda with the replacement of her switchboard. They make small talk as Micah works, and Yolanda is disappointed that Micah does not ask her about the date that she had told him she was going on with a dentist.
