Summary
Alex gets into an argument with his mother over government waste when he finds out that the Thanksgiving turkeys to be pardoned are housed in expensive hotel rooms. Trying to make a point, he volunteers to have the turkeys in his bedroom but is scared by them. Alex texts Henry about the turkeys, and when the latter laughs at his state, he calls him. While on the phone, Alex has Henry listen to the turkey's frightful gobbling. Their conversation then transitions to into playful banter, where Henry reveals that he likes watching The Great British Bake Off because it soothes him. Alex realizes that they've never spoken before and he enjoys it despite himself, not knowing exactly how to say goodbye.
Oscar Diaz, Alex and June's father, comes to visit the White House for Thanksgiving. Ellen is a little tense with her ex-husband's arrival...
