Magnus is the High Warlock of Brooklyn and is involved in a romantic relationship with Alec Lightwood. Magnus is the child of a Greater Demon, a fact that he has not revealed to Alec. Magnus is a powerful warlock who has been alive for hundreds of years. He has lived through many terrible situations and endured hardships and heartaches. He hides most of these bad memories behind humor and his flamboyant attitude. He loves to shop, and Alec comes to realize that Magnus sometimes hides his own vulnerabilities behind elaborate clothing, using the clothes as an armor.
