Pegasus Necklace

Darrow is given a Pegasus necklace before leaving for the Institute. The pendant opens when Darrow says Eo’s name. Inside, Darrow keeps a petal from a flower Eo gave him.

L-shaped Ring

Darrow is given an L-shaped ring that is supposed to represent a symbol that Spartans put on their shields. To Darrow it represents Lambda, his family clan. The ring conceals a blade that is revealed with a special movement of Darrow’s hand. Darrow uses this ring to kill Proctor Apollo.

Gold Rings

Each surviving student has a gold ring won during the Passage. These rings not only are marked with the name of the student’s house, but they also have the capacity to transmit video and audio that is distributed to the Drafters. Drafters choose which students will be offered an apprenticeship through their houses.
