Lykos

Darrow lives under the surface of Mars in a township called Lykos. Darrow is a Helldiver, the operator of the large drill that mines helium 3 from the bowels of Mars. Darrow and his family live in a home carved out of rock. It is in Lykos that Darrow’s wife Eo is put to death for singing a forbidden song and where Darrow is hung for burying Eo’s body.

Yorkton

Yorkton is the city that sits above Lykos. Yorkton is the first city Darrow sees and the city that convinces him of the lie the Society has been telling his people for generations. Yorkton is also where Mickey’s club is located. Mickey's club is the location of Darrow’s physical transformation into a Gold.
