Chapter 7: Lazarus

Darrow wakes in a shallow grave. He is inside a mine somewhere. Moments after he wakes, a tumbler, a six wheel vehicle, drives up. A woman and a man climb out and help him out of his grave. Darrow guesses immediately that they are from the rebellion group, Sons of Ares. They load him into the tumbler and drive him out of the mines to a warehouse.

Chapter 8: Dancer

Darrow is introduced to Dancer, the leader of this small group of rebels. Dancer explains to Darrow that they need him for something. Darrow, however, is devastated to learn they knew of Eo but could not save her. Darrow fights briefly with the woman, Harmony, before Dancer orders them apart. Later, Harmony helps clean Darrow’s wounds, explaining to him that Eo served a purpose.
