New York City

New York City is where Barry lives and works on his original life timeline. In New York he is a detective for the NYPD. After going through a divorce from his wife Julia, Barry lives by himself and attempts normalcy.

New York is also the setting for Barry's failed attempt to talk Ann Voss Peters off the Poe Building. This encounter initiates his efforts to understand and solve FMS.

Barry later returns to New York on one of his many life repetitions. During this particular iteration, he watches the city self-destruct as a result of the memory chair. He ends up in New York one last time after saving the world and returning it to its original timeline.
