Point of View

There are multiple points of view in this novel. In chapters narrated by Kate Baron, the point of view is third person. These chapters are often followed by those narrated by Kate’s daughter, Amelia. These chapters are written in the first person point of view. There are also a number of chapters that are snippets of text messages, a gossip blog, and Amelia’s Facebook page.
