Collages

Collages are a form of art in which portions of material from other sources are grouped together by an artist into a single work. Those portions are often related to, or evocative of, a particular experience or idea. The most common form of a collage is found, arguably, in visual art. Reality Hunger, though, is defined by its author as a text collage, which places excerpts from works by other authors next to one another to explore the author's themes, to develop his thematic arguments, and to shape the book's overall meaning.
