Summary

In Chapter 9, Lily was fired from her job. Matthew came to help her collect her things, surprising his uncle/ Lily’s boss Jerry because he didn’t know they were a couple. Matthew encouraged Lily to spend her free time redecorating their apartment. Lily received a phone call from Matthew’s friend, also named Lily, who invited her for brunch. The other Lily asked Lily if Matthew had taken her to Miami or the Hamptons and Lily replied he had not. Lily asked Matthew about it and he said that he would take her to Miami but he seemed unenthusiastic and tense about the suggestion.

In Chapter 10, Lily and Matthew travelled by private jet to Florida. Lily began to realize that Matthew was even more rich than she had realized. In Miami, Matthew warned Lily that his family would hire a private investigator...
