A meeting is taking place in the Pentagon office of Admiral Joseph Kemper. In addition to Kemper, Gene Seagram, Mel Donner and Warren Nicholson were there. A phone call notifies them that the President and his Kremlin security adviser, Marshall Collins, have arrived. They are discussing the hurricane and the distress call that the Juneau went off to answer. An aide comes in with a message from the Capricorn reporting Dana's disappearance. Another message tells them that one of the towing cables has snapped and that the Titanic.
In the North Atlantic, the crew of the tugboat, Wallace, is trying to figure out how the cable could have snapped. They discover that the cable has been cut with an acetylene torch. On the Titanic, Dirk checks the helicopter for the life...
