Part 4 The Titanic, Chapters 43-48, pgs. 234-270 Summary

Mel Donner goes to Marie Sheldon's house in Georgetown to see Dana. He and Marie introduce themselves. He tells Dana that he came to see her because he is worried about Gene. Dana learns that Gene's project will be completed in another month and then he could return to teaching. He is trying to talk Dana into going back to her husband and mentions seeing her on a date a few days earlier. This doesn't sit well with Dana who gets upset because they all expect her to crawl back to Gene. She says she'll go back to him if and when she wants to and walks out of the room and cries in the bedroom.
