Good v. Evil

Rainbow team represents good. The men aren't perfect; they have character flaws. But on the whole they stand on the side of good. Rainbow team has been formed to fight international terrorism eliminating those individuals who hold and kill hostages for specific demands, i.e., release of political prisoners or comrades, transportation to flee the country, or money or other valuables. Clancy has drawn a dichotomy between good and evil, countering every evil act with a good one, perhaps not immediately but eventually.

The terrorists in Rainbow Six epitomize evil. One terrorist shoots and kills a little sick girl in her wheelchair. A Rainbow sharpshooter blasts this evil man purposely below the heart blowing apart his internal organs so he would die a slow and miserable death.
