Chapter 36, Flights of Necessity Summary
Popov must get out of this wheat field in the middle of no where and fast. He hitches a ride to a small airfield down the highway. From there is able to get connecting flights back to New York. He registers as Joseph Demetrius at a hotel and requests 3am wake-up call. Popov startles at the early call but quickly shakes himself awake and dials the phone. Clark's secretary tells him he has a call from a man who will not identify himself. The caller identifies himself as Serov, the alias Popov has been using. Popov tells Clark to take a flight to New York City and meet him at the NYC Zoo at exactly 11:00 a.m. The line goes dead.
