Chapter 31, Movement Summary
Popov steps off the Horizon Corporation jet onto a remote looking area in Kansas. He is taken to the large new complex and is shown to a private apartment. Popov tries successfully to get an outside phone line, putting to rest the thought that he may have been kidnapped. On the other side of the planet, Olympic athletes are arriving in Sydney. Aussie police are showing Colonel Gearing, US Army Chemical Corp, Retired, around the new Olympic stadium. Gearing, who represents Global Security, is especially interested in seeing the fogging system put in place for cooling off the athletes. He questions the Aussie police about the security and learns there is quite a thorough security system for the new arena.
