Chapter 30, Vistas Summary
Finally Ding gets to hold his baby son, John Conor, in his arms. With wife and baby fine, Ding brings the new grandfather a celebratory cigar. As Popov walks down the terminal in New York, he dumps his "Serov" passport and ID in a trash container. Later that afternoon, a worker discovers the documents and turns them in to lost and found. The documentation makes it way to the British authorities, who run a check on them and find that the man is wanted. The FBI comes up with a P.O. Box in New York City connected to the I.D found at the airport.
As Popov watches the news that evening in his New York apartment, he sees a shot of himself sitting in his car in the background of a news report on the Hereford incident. The next...
